Two Broke Girls is an American television sitcom that premiered on September 19, 2011. During the ride, Caroline reveals that she used to be a trust fund baby, but her life has taken a turn for the worse after her father's arrest. She has lost everything, but not her high-end designer clothes.

Max, on the other hand, has grown up in poverty and has had to work for everything she has. She's tough, uncompromising and has little patience for people like Caroline, who she thinks are entitled and out of touch with reality.

After Caroline's stolen credit card is declined, she has nowhere to stay and has to sleep on the floor of Max's apartment. The next day, Caroline decides to try and sell her designer clothes in order to get some money, but she quickly realizes that no one in Williamsburg is interested in buying her expensive, high-end clothes.

As fate would have it, Max's ex-boyfriend Johnny stops by the diner to pick up a cupcake and tells Max about a high-paying job opening as a barista at a trendy coffee shop in Manhattan. Max and Caroline decide to apply for the job together and head to the coffee shop's open call.

During the interview, Max and Caroline realize that they make a great team when it comes to creating unique and delicious cupcakes, and they decide to partner up and open their own cupcake business with the money Caroline has left in her trust fund. However, they quickly realize that opening a business is easier said than done, especially when you don't have any money.

The pilot episode of Two Broke Girls sets up the show perfectly, with the two main characters coming from vastly different backgrounds, learning to work together, and striving to achieve their dreams while navigating the ups and downs of being broke. The chemistry between Max and Caroline is undeniable, and the show manages to balance humor and heart in a way that is both charming and entertaining.
