'A to Z' Season 1, Episode 3: 'C is for Curiouser and Curiouser' Recap
by Shannon KeirnanSteffy tells Andrew that the dating app isn't working well, and he tells her that he thinks meeting in person is better. He offers to set her up with his friend Calvin, but when she tries to Internet stalk him, warns her against it - she's taking out all the mystery!
They mixed up the days of when they were meeting with Steffy and Stu, so Stu shows up, and teases Steffy, and gets another drink thrown in his face. Later Andrew tells Stu that they are creating issues with him and Zelda and need to find a way to get along.
The next day, their boss reveals that she was sitting behind them the whole time, and heard an impressive string of things they wouldn't want getting back to her. She calls in Howard and has him have the IT people turn on the cameras in the employee's computers, so she can hear what everyone is saying about her, and goes through their work emails. She finds out that everyone calls her Big Bird.
Despite her declaration not to stalk Calvin, Steffy does anyway, and decides she can't go out with him. She reminds Zelda you don't really know anyone until you dig.
Zelda gets curious and begins Internet stalking Andrew.
At dinner, she starts bringing up a ticket she once got from the police. She reveals that she saw the dash cam footage of him getting arrested at a game, after accidentally striking one of the police. He's impressed - she had to dig deep, and pay, to get that information. He wonders what happened to the mystery.
The IT couple ask Andrew later why there seems to be awkwardness between him and Zelda, and give him her old Wallflower profile. He vows not to look at it, but does anyway.
Steffy is catfished by Stu, who tells her he can change her profile and make it more appealing to men. She says she won't lie about herself to get better dates, but when he dumbs her down a little, more attractive matches pop up. She maintains she won't change herself to be more appealing.
Zelda brings Andrew some wine (soy sauce) to apologize and he admits that he creeped on her profile, but couldn't find anything incriminating on her, and he was wrong. She blurts out that she used to be married.
She married a friend from Sweden so he could stay in the country, and divorced him when he got his citizenship. She swears it was platonic. They agree to be less suspicious of each other.
Not sticking to that, Andrew googles her ex-husband Gustav, and finds that he is very attractive.
Stu finds Steffy on a date with one of the matches that popped up when she changed her profile, and calls her out on it. They discuss burying the hatchet to make things easier on Zelda and Andrew although they still hate each other.
Andrew tracks down Gustav and spies on him at a cafe, when Zelda calls. She checks in and then says she has a lunch - and suddenly she is there, meeting Gustav. Andrew gets out to confront them, as Gustav's fiancee comes up to meet Zelda. Andrew crouches behind a car, but attracts the attention of cops. Again, he accidentally strikes one, and is cuffed.
Zelda gets him out of the situation. The two talk over their trust issues - Zelda seems to be warming up to the idea of commitment, but won't admit it's because of Andrew. She's not mad over Gustav.
They go to meet their friends, realizing with horror that both Stu and Steffy were invited again, but find them faking nice with one another.
