Zooey Deschanel Receives Apology For Being Linked to Boston Marathon Bombing

Zooey Deschanel Receives Apology For Being Linked to Boston Marathon BombingNew Girl” actress Zooey Deschanel has received an apology by Kansas-based closed captioning company Caption Solutions.

The odd accident happened during the manhunt which followed the Boston Marathon bombing.

The incident occurred during Fox’s coverage...  Accompanying the picture of bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaey, closed caption watchers may have noticed that the captions read” Marathon bombing, he is 19-year-old Zooey Deschanel.”

Oops. Close enough?

Joel McHale of “The Soup” and radio show producer Peter Ogburn noticed the accident and hit Twitter with photos of the screen.

Deschanel retweeted their image with the caption, “Whoa! Epic closed captioning FAIL! "@joelmchale: Oh my RT @peterogburn.”

Caption Solutions President Kala J. Patterson says they "sincerely apologize for this error.”

According to New York Daily News, the captioner "deeply regret[s]" accidentally typing Deschanel’s name on the screen, though Gawker attributed the fail to a “rogue employee.”

Deschanel reportedly did not ask for the apology, but probably appreciates her name being cleared.

Meanwhile, at the red carpet screening of “New Girl” at the Leonard H. Goldenson Theatre in Los Angeles last night, the pretty woman was all smiles, showing off her teeny-tiny waist in a crop top and a tan-and-green striped skirt, though she had recently tweeted:

“My 9 pound terrier mix just chewed through a very nice pair of shoes. I should be mad, but I’m just too impressed with her dedication… And after she chewed my shoes, Dot fell asleep on my foot. I think she's trying to tell me something.”

Well, we’ve all got problems, don’t we, Zooey? Yours just seem to be more hilarious and/or adorable.
