Zach Galifianakis to Wed This Weekend
by Shannon Keirnan
Women really do love us our funny men.
The proof is in the pudding, right? No jab intended for hilarious “The Hangover: Part II” actor, Zach Galifianakis, who is reportedly to tie the knot in Vancouver tomorrow.
The comedian, 42, known for his bizarre but kind of amazing humor, as well as for having a pretty sharp beard going on, is to wed lovely girlfriend Mary Quinn Lundberg.
Lundberg is the co-founder of Growing Voices, a charity that facilitates donations to community-based projects and organizations. The 29 year old is also a trained ballerina. Nicely done, Galifianakis. Nicely done. He locks himself down a smart cookie with a good heart, and she’s a tall blonde to boot?
Ah, yet again, a beard has done its wondrous itchy magic.
The couple, who have been together since 2010, became engaged only in June but chose to marry quickly. Hmm. Should we start watching the slim lady for a baby bump? Would they name their baby Carlos?
Invitations to the ceremony reportedly had all the usual, proper wedding-type details. However Galifianakis also included a drawing that he himself had made. The sketch featured himself as a troll, and Lundberg as a leggy princess.
Aww.
The two have also asked guests to donate to Lundberg’s charity in lieu of wedding gifts. Double aww.
The actor will have himself a busy next few days. Aside from like, matrimony and stuff, the funnyman also has a new movie with Will Ferrell opening with weekend.
“The Campaign” is expected to hit $25 million this weekend alone. Not too shabby, especially considering competition from big-hitter “The Bourne Legacy,” and continuing champion, “The Dark Knight Rises.”
Best of luck, Galifianakis and Lundberg!
