Young Sofia Vergara Urged to Get a Breast Reduction

It’s hard to imagine “Modern Family” star and Emmy-winning Sofia Vergara without her proud, wardrobe-malfunction inspiring curves, but believe it or not, back when the spicy actress was getting started, her publicist suggested that she might get more jobs if she got a breast reduction.

Luckily for us, Vergara turned that idea down. She says, of launching her career,

“At the beginning it was hard, and [my publicist] used to tell me, ‘Maybe you should get to a more normal, standard size.’”

Luckily for us, she decided to continue on with what she had. Poor lady.

"I’m very proud of my body and the way I look. I would be ungrateful to be saying, ‘Oh, I’m so mad because people just look at me and see my pretty face.’”

Well done, Vergara. Nothing wrong with a pair of 32-Fs anyway… in fact, that’s kind of a medical miracle. Actually, how is that even possible? Seriously, who is this publicist and why do they hate boobs?

Vergara continued, “I thank God for what he has given me and I take advantage of it. [My mom said], ‘God is going to punish you, you can’t chop your boobs out. It’s crazy. All the women are risking their life to get boobs.’ So I didn’t do it."

Vergara has never been shy about her body, and it’s impressive that she is so open and inspiring to women with curves. Good for her.

My only concern with all this is how one “chops” their boobs out. Is that recommended? It doesn’t sound like a particularly safe medical procedure. What’s the recovery time on a standard boob chop?
