You Can Now Hear the Opening Theme Song for 'Girl Meets World'

You can't watch the premiere of "Girl Meets World" quite yet...but you can watch the opening credits!

Disney released the opening credits to the "Boy Meets World" spinoff online today, which includes the opening theme song. It's definitely a song of it's time: It features some sweet, aspirational vocals as sung by a young pop star, giving it a Katy Perry/Ariana Grande sort of sound. It sounds quintessentially 2014, but the original theme songs for "Boy Meets World" sounded quintessentially of their own times as well.

It looks like the city of New York will play into the show a good deal, as shots of the city help fill out the credits sequence along with the goofy clips of the characters. But we guess "Girl Meets City" doesn't have the same ring (or branding) to it.

The opening shows that we should be seeing plenty of Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel in addition to the new younger stars of the show. There's even a glimpse of Fishel with some classic crimped hair!

The full show will premiere on the Disney Channel on Friday, June 27, but those who are hoping for an early look could see it as soon as tomorrow. Those who are confirmed subscribers of the Watch Disney Channel app will get a sneak preview of the pilot episode starting on May 21, almost a month in advance of the actual premiere.
