Yes, 'Amazing Spider-Man 2' Does Have a Post-Credits Teaser (Sort Of)

Marvel started a tradition of sorts in Superhero movies to include a post-credits teaser scene to set up the inevitable sequels to their blockbuster films. "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" isn't a Marvel films release, but it still has a teaser of sorts.

Fans hoping to see a full-out scene in the theaters will be disappointed, though. Sit through those credits all you want, but nothing will come up on that screen to tease the third Spidey movie. Instead, you'll have to look at the screen on your smartphone.

It turns out that if you Shazam the Alicia Keys song that plays over the ending credits to "The Amazing Spider-Man 2," you'll be rewarded with six teaser images. Those who are familiar with Spidey lore might already know what they are, just by hearing the word "six."

Caution: Spoilers follow!

If you thought that the array of villains in "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" were too many, just wait until the next movie. It's definitely going to include the Sinister Six, as many Marvel fans theorized upon seeing some hints strewn throughout the trailer for the film.

The Sinister Six are a group of villains in the Spidey-verse traditionally including Kraven, Mysterio, Electro, Sandman, Vulture and Doctor Octopus. When you Shazam the end credits song, you're treated with six close-up pics of items representing the villains that will be in the Sinister Six in the movie version...and it looks like they'll differ slightly from the original gang in the comics.

Doc Ock will definitely be part of the group, as will Vulture and Kraven. However, it looks like Green Goblin (or maybe Hobgoblin) will be in the group instead of Electro, and Sandman will be replaced by Rhino. Then there's the question of the picture featuring the mask; it's not entirely clear whom this represents, but it might be Chameleon, Mysterio or maybe Shocker.
