Chris Brown Wins Big at BET Awards, Unlucky Fan Tiffany Green Gets Caught Up in Ugly On-Air Screw-up (VIDEO)

Chris Brown Wins Big at BET Awards, Unlucky Fan Tiffany Green Gets Caught Up in Ugly On-Air Screw-up (VIDEO) The BET Awards were all about forgiveness this year, as convicted woman-beater and alleged homophobe Chris Brown cleaned house, and dog-fighting ex-con Michael Vick was honored as well.

Brown picked up awards for Best Male R&B Artist, Viewer’s Choice, Fandemonium Award and Best Collaboration. The multi-talented R&B performer was convicted on domestic abuse charges in 2009 for beating his then-girlfriend Rihanna, and has recently been facing heat for using gay slurs towards reporters during a recent incident.

But the biggest story of the night might have been a messy on-air screw-up. A truly bizarre mistake during the ceremony unintentionally (?) highlighted Brown's domestic abuse problems.

When the Coca Cola Viewer's Choice Award was announced, Tiffany Green (the BET viewer chosen to announce the award) said the winner was Chris Brown, then quickly changed their mind, saying said, "I'm sorry, the winner is Rihanna."

Then one of the presenters came on and corrected the announcement, saying the award really went to Drake, who accepted the award, correctly pointing out that it was all very "awkward."

Wanna know what's more awkward? BET later tweeted that Chris Brown apparently won the award after all.

Green went on Twitter to blame BET for the problem: “The tablet [expletive] said CHRIS BROWN....the TELEPROMPTER said Rihanna. What the [expletive]??????”

Watch the awards mix-up:

BET executive Stephen Green owned up to the mistake, tweeting: “That BET Awards Viewer’s Choice (sic) mix-up was due to human error. And I was the human that made that error. I apologize to ALL affected.” D'oh. Sorry RiRi - it's your abusive ex's award after all. And hey, didn't he do great last night?

Speaking of things that make me queasy, Michael Vick was named Sportsman of the Year for his work coming back as to become the starting quarterback of the Philadelphia Eagles after seving prison time on dog-fighting charges.

On a lighter note, "American Idol" alum (and Chicagoan) Jennifer Hudson picked up the award for Best Female R&B Artist and sexy rap powerhouse Nicky Minaj was named Best Female Hip-Hop Artist. In the could-it-be-any-cuter department, Jaden and Willow Smith both took home Young Stars Awards.
