'X Factor': Astro Thinks 'Something Was Fishy' About Last Week's Voting

'X Factor': Astro Thinks 'Something Was Fishy' About Last Week's Voting It may have come as a surprise to many of the viewers at home when Astro, the 14-year-old rapping phenom on "The X Factor," was revealed to be in the bottom two among voters. After all, Astro had impressed the judges and given a great performance every week, and he hadn't seen the bottom two so far in the competition.

Astro was clearly surprised as well: when he came out to perform his "save me song," he asked the audience whether or not he should perform, then gave a half-hearted performance. Later, when facing the judges, he said he didn't want to perform for people that didn't want him there, with tears in his eyes.

Since then, Astro has apologized to his fans, but not for his attitude toward the judges. Rather, Astro said that the fact he teared up was "embarassing to Brooklyn, hip hop, and Team Astro" in the apology on his Facebook wall.

As for his feelings about the competition, Astro is letting on that there was more going on than we saw. He told THR, "I felt like I was being treated unfairly, basically that was X Factor's way of punishing me. I don’t care to talk about what happened, but I doubt I was in the bottom two."

Did the producers go against the voting? Astro supported that theory: "I don’t see how you can have the most followers on Twitter of all the contestants, most views on YouTube of all the contestants, and be voted in the bottom two. So, I knew something was fishy."

The "X Factor" producers fixing the voting might not be so outlandish an idea. After all, we've seen some pretty suspect activity on the show, such as the flasher who was miraculously not arrested and the lip-syncing scandal.

Plus, two of the three groups that made the final 12 have already been eliminated, so would it be out of the question that the producers would take the one remaining group, Lakoda Rayne, and grant them immunity in order to save face? It would look pretty bad for the show, which touted its inclusion of the Groups category as a defining feature, to lose all three groups in the first three rounds of voting.

What do you think? Has Astro uncovered some dirty dealing, or is he just putting up a fuss about not getting enough votes?
