Would-Be Miley Cyrus Intruder Charged In Los Angeles

Would-Be Miley Cyrus Intruder Charged In Los Angeles A would-be home invader in Los Angeles faces criminal trespass and resisting arrest charges after officially being charged today by L.A. prosecutors, The Washington Post reports via The Associated Press.

Specifically, Juan Luis Rivera faces two trespass counts and one of resisting arrest after being arrested Saturday when trying to break into the former "Hannah Montana" starlet's home. Police say that he was brandishing scissors and told them he was actually a friend of Cyrus'. He's currently being held on $1,000 bail.

Rivera reportedly tried repeatedly to force himself through the star's door, claiming he knew her. TMZ footage taken during his arrest features Rivera telling police, "I am a friend of Miley Cyrus. I am. She's my wife. Me and Miley have been friends for five years." Cyrus was unharmed during the incident. Rivera had no prior California arrest record, but has a lengthy Texas criminal record that includes trespassing.

"I would say 'delusional' is a good characterization of him," said Los Angeles Police Department Lt. Brian Wendling. Cyrus, of course, is engaged to "The Hunger Games" and "The Expendables 2" star Liam Hemsworth.

It's been speculated that the scissors may be a reference to Cyrus shocking fans by tweeting photos of herself with an extremely short, dyed-blonde new hairstyle a few weeks ago.

Maybe this fellow would do well to consider what everybody is told after a bad haircut: it's hair. It grows back.
