Wise Choice: Fox Pulls Hurricane-Themed 'Family Guy,' 'American Dad' and 'Cleveland Show' in Wake of Tornado

Wise Choice: Fox Pulls Hurricane-Themed 'Family Guy,' 'American Dad' and 'Cleveland Show' in Wake of Tornado In one of the most poorly-timed TV events in recent memory, Fox had a hurricane-themed cross-over event planned for its "Animation Domination" block on Sunday. The three Seth MacFarlane shows ("Family Guy," "American Dad" and "The Cleveland Show") were all going to share a common theme: a hurricane hitting the area in which the shows take place.

The deadly storm that hit the American South this week, killing hundreds, is the reason for the episodes being pulled. Understandably, airing episodes that feature a hurricane would be in pretty poor taste at this point.

MacFarlane had called the cross-over event an "enormous challenge," and the three episodes had been in development for nearly 18 months. Yep, it took a year and a half to make this big event a reality, and it happened to be set to air right after a devastating tornado hit. It's nothing compared to what those in the south are going through, but that's still some pretty bad luck.

The episodes will air next spring instead, and the rest of the season will air as planned starting next week. This Sunday, all three shows will be reruns.
