Willow Smith & Lady Gaga Are W-W-W (dot) Winners at MTV's O Awards
by Elizabeth SextonWillow Smith and Lady Gaga got off-line props for their online success Friday at MTV’s O Music Awards.
The singers were recognized for their web-savvy videos during the inaugural awards show. Winners were voted for by fans online.
Smith, at a mere 10-years-old, has made an enormous hair-whipping print across the Internet. Her hit "Whip My Hair" won Most Viral Dance.
Lady Gaga won Must-Follow Artist on Twitter and has held the record for the largest following on Twitter, with Justin Bieber close on her trail. Luckily, her Twitter account that had recently been hacked is back in safe hands.
Lady Gaga also won “Innovative Artist” – an award that can be attributed, in part, to her egg-cellent arrival at the Grammy’s.
Kanye West won Best Tweet for the "life as a celebrity is so difficult" comment "I hate when I'm on a flight and I wake up with a water bottle next to me like oh great now I gotta be responsible for this water bottle."
Sigh.
