Doobi-Do: Whoopi Admits She Smoked Pot Before the Oscars

Whoopi Goldberg’s eyes were glazy when she accepted her Oscar for “Ghost.”

Understandably, most people would assume she was tearing up over the career high, but her mother knew better.  Goldberg was actually high.

In a clip that has surfaced on TMZ, dated from 1992, Goldberg explains that her mother called her later to scold her and her “glistening eyes.”

Goldberg admitted, she was nervous at the award show and had enjoyed the last of her home grown pot in joint prior to attending.

"I know you're not supposed to admit that you smoke pot, but I don't drink alcohol," Goldberg says in the video. "Just because I do it doesn't mean you should."

Whoopi joins a growing list of celebrities who have, at one time, admitted they favor cannabis recreation including Willie Nelson, Woody Harrleson, Justin Timberlake and Frances McDormand - to name a few.

It should be interesting to see what View co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck has to say. Hasselbeck previously ripped on Olympian Michael Phelps after he was photographed ripping on a bong.
