Which 'Glee' Season Two Episode Is the Producers' Emmy Favorite (And What's Yours)?

Which 'Glee' Season Two Episode Is the Producers' Emmy Favorite (And What's Yours)? Which "Glee" episode of season two was your favorite? The producers of the show have theirs all picked out. How do we know? Because they've begun to submit those favorite episodes for Emmy consideration in the TV comedy category!

Each show is allowed to submit six episodes for the Outstanding Comedy Series category, and Deadline has a report on one episode in particular for each show that they submitted that they think has the best chance of swaying Emmy voters. So, which one did "Glee" pick?

Fox's 20th TV decided to go with "The Substitute," which introduced Holly Holiday, played by Gwyneth Paltrow, to the "Glee"-verse. A representative for Fox cited a "triple threat, scene-stealing performance" from Paltrow, a "tour-de-force" rendition of "Make 'em Laugh" by Matthew Morrison, and a "fanciful mash-up" of "Singin' in the Rain" and "Umbrella" as the reasons for choosing this particular episode as their favorite.

I'm not sure that "The Substitute" would have been my first pick, but then again I don't think the show has been all that great since the first season ended. There have been moments that truly surprised me (like the Kurt/Karofsky kiss), but single moments don't always make a great episode overall.

Other choices from popular comedy series include "Someone to Watch Over Lily" from "Modern Family" and the 100th episode of "30 Rock," the latter of which had a very impressive joke-per-minute ratio over the one-hour stretch.
