'Wheel of Fortune' Host Pat Sajak Calls Global Warming Believers 'Unpatriotic Racists'

'Wheel of Fortune' Host Pat Sajak Calls Global Warming Believers 'Unpatriotic Racists' We'd like to buy a vowel, please...a "why?"

"Wheel of Fortune" host Pat Sajak is known on his show for his amiable personality even in the face of loud, sometimes obnoxious contestants. But it seems as though his patience is a bit shorter on Twitter.

Yesterday night, Sajak wrote an interesting tweet: "I now believe global warming alarmists are unpatriotic racists knowingly misleading for their own ends," he wrote. "Good night."

The tweet was entirely without context, and wasn't a part of a larger Twitter rant from the TV personality. He didn't bother to take time to explain the tweet later, though earlier today he did write, "Sometimes it's fun to poke a stick in a hornets' nest just to hear the buzzing."

Sajak is known to have conservative political views, but we're not sure this was a sincere attack. After all, a few days ago he tweeted about the environment-destroying options at the grocery check-out lane: "Grocery checkout agony," he mused. "Do I destroy forests, strangle helpless sea creatures or use my own bacteria-laden containers?"

We're going to give Pat the benefit of the doubt and assume that his tweet was some misguided satire that didn't quite land the way he wanted it to. If not, though, he might be looking at some trouble in the future concerning backlash from viewers.
