“History of the Eagles: Part 1” – Showtime
The first act of the rockumentary about the music group the Eagles begins in the 1970s with the band's formation, and examines their rise to fame through their breakup in 1980. Included are interviews with band members and concert footage.
“Kitchen Nightmares” – Fox
Gordon visits Sam's Mediterranean Kabob Room in Monrovia, California, where he learns that the owner's seven children are fed up with their father's mismanagement.
“Last Man Standing” – ABC
Mike discovers that Boyd's last name has been changed and is no longer Baxter. Meanwhile, the Baxter gals revive their old singing group and make a Valentine's Day music video, which they hope will go viral.
“WWE SmackDown” – SyFy
Featured: The Rock; Randy Orton vs. Mark Henry.
At 9PM, you have even more options.
“CSI: NY” – CBS
Mac and the team investigate three twisted tales of love on Valentine's Day. Josh Groban appears and sings “Happy in My Heartache.”
“Shark Tank” – ABC
Kevin O'Leary offers to give an entrepreneur $1 million; six kid inventors present a device that could help save lives; a woman provides a taste of her s'mores-inspired mini-muffin recipe; two brothers from Austin have an interesting idea for a sushi restaurant; and a New Yorker talks up her online-therapy business. Also: an update on a Season 3 cargo-management system that didn't get any backing from the Sharks.
“Touch” – FOX
Guillermo continues his hunt for the 36 Righteous Ones; Jake helps Lucy locate a woman who may be linked to Amelia; an Aster Corporation worker crosses the border in Pakistan.
At 10PM, things kind of taper out.
“Blue Bloods” – CBS
Danny is forced to enroll in an anger-management class because of his use of aggressive tactics on a case. Elsewhere, Frank tries to halt the persecution of a young Turkish woman.
“Merlin” – SyFy
Morgana and Gwen plot to kill Arthur.
“Best Week Ever” – VH1
A comedic roundup of pop-culture events, featuring a new cast of comedians providing perspective.
So there you have it. Weekends are traditionally slim-pickings in terms of quality entertainment. If you’re itching for your media fix, you might want to hit up the theater.
