What's Next for Walking Dead?
by EG
Everyone's talking about last Sunday's episode of The Walking Dead, in which Melissa McBride turned in a crowd-pleasing performance as a morally troubled Carol. As disturbing and powerful as the episode was, though, there are still three more episodes to go until the end of the series' sixth season, and some even more shocking and disturbing events are almost certain to take place in those episodes.
The event that fans are waiting for most anxiously is the eventual appearance of the villain Negan. Rick's group has already been having trouble with Negan's people - and those people have tried to convince the survivors that every one of them is just as bad as Negan himself - but readers of the Walking Dead comics already know that there's no one as bad as Negan.
Comic readers also know that when Negan appeared in the comics, he was the bringer of death to a few important characters, including one very important character. The TV series doesn't always follow the lead of the comic series, but fans have been bracing themselves for the possibility that one of their favorite major characters might not survive the season.
McBride dropped an ominous hint, too, when she told ComicBook.com that she felt like "I had dropped into a black hole" after reading the script for the season finale.
