What's New on Netflix in June

Yes, Thor: Ragnarok is coming to Netflix in June, but that's not even the biggest news for the streamer in the coming months. Some huge titles are debuting on Netflix in June, and the other big streaming platforms have some big reveals in store, too. Read on to find out more.

This weekend, Solo is in theaters, giving audiences their latest adventure inside the Star Wars universe. But there’s a lot more to film and TV than just space operas. In June, streaming services will be adding a plethora of new titles to their respective lineups.
Netflix is leaning into its selection of Marvel titles, including the second season of Luke Cage, the hilarious Thor: Ragnarok, and the latest season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Not only that, but the service is also adding Rian Johnson’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi. (Yeah, we know what we said about space operas, but c’mon — it’s Star Wars.) The two-hour series finale to Lana and Lilly Wachowski’s Sense8 is coming in June, as is The Break with Michelle Wolf, and the second seasons of both Glow and Queer Eye.
Amazon Prime customers will get yet another influx of movies, including titles like Lady Bird, Wonder Wheel, and Transformers: The Last Knight. Horror fans — or more specifically, horror fans with very strange senses of humor — will be excited to learn that the Leprechaun franchise will be coming to the service in June, as will the original Stargate and the Tom Hanks comedy The ‘Burbs.
For HBO Now, it’s all about dystopian sci-fi. Blade Runner 2049 is coming to the service, and Westworld is capping off its second season on June 24th. Wyatt Cenac’s Problem Areas will be wrapping up its debut season in June as well, while the network will also be adding some scares with the addition of Andy Muschietti’s Stephen King adaptation It.
But for everything that a streaming service giveth, a streaming service also taketh away. Netflix will be losing Captain America: Civil War on June 25th, and Men in Black and 8 Mile are a couple of the other films that will be vanishing during the month. HBO Now customers face the most dire losses of all, however. Not only will HBO be losing the entire Harry Potter franchise, but four different Fast and Furious films will be disappearing as well. Granted, one of those movies is 2 Fast 2 Furious, but even still — that kind of hit is going to hurt.
