Weird Al Parodies Pharrell's 'Happy' in Hilarious New Music Video with Jack Black and Others

Weird Al Parodies Pharrell's 'Happy' in Hilarious New Music Video with Jack Black and Others Weird Al Yankovic is back, baby!

The musical comedian, famous since the 1980's for his spot-on parodies of all kinds of pop music, has a new album coming out. It's called "Mandatory Fun," and the first music video has already hit the Web!

"Tacky" is a parody of Pharrell's major (Oscar-nominated, mind you) hit song "Happy." But rather than talk about how happy he is, Weird Al sings about how tacky and tasteless he is.

Here's where you see the genius of Weird Al, and the reason why he stands out from the crowds of parody songwriters out there: It would be easy for Al to sing about his history of tacky clothes, but instead he turns the song into a commentary on the things we do in our current social-media-obsessed age that just aren't okay.

"It might seem crazy wearing stripes and plaid; I instagram every meal I've had," he sings in the first verse. He goes on to list name-dropping celebrities, wearing Ed Hardy clothes, using "YOLO," twerking at the DMV and writing up resumes in Comic Sans as things tacky people do.

To make the whole thing even better, Weird Al enlisted a bunch of comedians, actors and generally funny people to do the video, which plays off of the style of Pharrell's "Happy" video. Aisha Tyler, Margaret Cho, "Modern Family" star Eric Stonestreet, Kristen Schaal, and Jack Black all help out with their own tacky dance moves.
