Watch the 'Walking Dead' Season 5 Trailer
by Andy NeuenschwanderThe season 5 premiere of "The Walking Dead" is ambling ever closer...and here's the first trailer!
The full-length trailer, featuring the first footage of the hit AMC show's new season, premiered at Comic-Con today, as has become tradition for the show.
Additionally, the the panel announced the premiere date for season 5, which will be October 12.
In the trailer, we pick up where the season four cliffhanger left off: With Rick reunited with the rest of the group under less than ideal circumstances.
Although it looks as though the gang will manage to make their way out of that particular hostage situation, they might not exactly have their freedom for a while. One way or another, they're heading down to D.C. to attempt to help find a cure, and Gareth's gang is going with them.
And, of course, there's plenty of gore as zombie heads are sliced, smashed, stabbed, decapitated, and even blown off by a fire hose throughout the trailer.
The Comic-Con panel itself was a bit lighter, as it opened with a comedic parody clip showing Rick and Glenn, with full beards, playing cards while still imprisoned inside the Terminus trailer and joined by a bald Daryl and a much older Maggie. Unfortunately, that clip seems to have been a special treat just for the panel audience.
