Watch: Uzo Aduba Auditions for Every Role on 'Orange is the New Black'

There’s no question that Uzo Aduba nails the role of Suzanne “Crazy Eyes” Warren on Netflix’s “Orange is the New Black,” but what if she’d landed a different role on the series? That’s a possibility that a new video from Funny or Die asks us to ponder, and if nothing else, the video makes it clear that Aduba would have been hilarious in any role on the show.

In the short clip, Aduba warms up for her “audition” for the series and then launches into her take on virtually every character in the cast. She begins with Tasha “Taystee” Jefferson, then moves through Poussey Washington, Red, Alex, Pennsatucky and just about every other female character, including, with the help of a blonde wig, Piper Chapman—although she’s not so sure she’s right for that part.

“I don’t think anyone would ever call me ‘Taylor Swift,’” she offers.

She’s clearly willing to do whatever it takes to get hired for the show, however, including taking a job as a Best Boy if the on-camera parts don’t work out for her.
