Watch The Trailer For Crime Thriller 'The Place Beyond The Pines'

The trailer for “The Place Beyond the Pines” is out, featuring a blond-haired Ryan Gosling in the role that introduced him to Eva Mendes (dang).
The synopsis is this:
“Luke (Ryan Gosling) is a professional motorcycle rider who turns to bank robberies to support his newborn son. But when he crosses paths with a rookie police officer (Bradley Cooper), their violent confrontation spirals into a tense generational feud. ‘The Place Beyond the Pines’ is a rich dramatic thriller, tracing the intersecting lives of fathers and sons, cops and robbers, heroes and villains.”
From the director of “Blue Valentine,” “The Place Beyond the Pines” also features Rose Byrne, Ray Liotta, Dane DeHaan, and Ben Mendelsohn.
In the emotionally-charged trailer, Luke finds out he has produced a son with estranged lady love Romina, and decides to step up where his father failed and take care of his family.
“How are you gonna take care of us?” Romina asks.
“You got a kid, you want to provide for that kid? You gotta do that using that skill set,” suggests a voice over. Cut to Luke in full robber gear leaping around a bank and demanding money.
Enter wide-eyed Bradley Cooper as Avery Cross, clearly on the side of right and the law. The two participate in a high-speed chase, while Luke wends in and out of traffic in some pretty impressive maneuvering.
“I’m still his father. I can give him stuff,” Luke insists, while Avery Cross looks troubled, and a wise voice tells him, “There’s a way out of this. You’re not gonna like it.”
“You know something, Luke? If you ride like lightning… you’re gonna crash like thunder.”
Look for the film to hit theaters spring of next year.
