Watch Taylor Swift Debut 'Eyes Open' from 'The Hunger Games' Soundtrack

It's just a few more days until the release of "The Hunger Games," and Taylor Swift had a surprise for some of her fans in anticipation of the movie hitting theaters this weekend: her newest song off of the soundtrack!

Some lucky fans in Auckland in New Zealand got to hear Swift's first live performance of the new song, titled "Eyes Open." Don't let the poppy melody fool you; the theme here is all about the loss of innocence and the scars that violence and war leave behind, especially on young people. In short, it's a song about "The Hunger Games."

This track opposes Swift's other contribution to the soundtrack, "Safe and Sound," a song that had a darker, somber tone but more uplifting lyrics.

Swift's two tracks on the album accompany additions from The Decemberists, The Arcade Fire, Kid Cudi and others to make an eclectic mix of gothic folk-rock and country pop.
