Watch Robert Pattinson Get Dangerous in the 'Cosmopolis' Teaser Trailer

The teaser trailer for Robert Pattinson's new movie "Cosmopolis" is out, and it's a far cry from "Twilight." Then again, it's pretty safe to say that anything directed by David Cronenberg is going to be.

Pattinson stars in the film as a billionaire who takes a self-destructive ride through New York, with plenty of sex and violence along the way. In fact, there's a good deal of it in the teaser, including some rather ill-advised playing with guns, a shirtless Pattinson, and some... er, mischief in an alley.

With this and Pattinson's other project, "Bel Ami," it looks as though the actor is attempting to play against type as much as possible in order to shake the Edward Cullen role and avoid romance typecasting. That, or he's attempting to get people on the internet to finally say "okay, Robert Pattinson is kind of a badass."

Add "Bel Ami" and "Cosmopolis" to "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1" and Pattinson will be appearing in at least three movies next year.
