Watch the Premiere of 'The Mindy Project' Online, Right Now!

Ever since we heard that Mindy Kaling, who writes for NBC's "The Office" and also plays Kelly and is generally hilarious and awesome, was making a show for Fox, we could hardly contain our excitement.

Now, here we are, just a couple of weeks away from the big premiere, and the anticipation is killing us. After all, Fox struck comedy gold with "New Girl" last year, so one can only assume that the same network, teamed with Mindy Kaling, could easily deliver again.

Well, we need not wait any longer: Fox has released the first episode of "The Mindy Project" online, in full, for free, and plenty early! The network tried a similar tactic with "New Girl" last year, and it turned out pretty well: the show had spectacular ratings for a first-time half-hour sitcom (though it did have the benefit of the "Glee" lead-in).

The show stars Kaling as a single doctor who must balance her personal life with her professional one. The style brings a number of romantic comedies to mind, including "Bridget Jones' Diary," which makes sense considering Kaling's known affinity for the genre.
