Watch the 'Paranormal Activity 4' Trailer, If You Dare

"Paranormal Activity 3" took us back in time to provide some background to the spookiness with a prequel. But when "Paranormal Activity 4" hits theaters this October, we'll be back in the present, and there will be technology to prove it.

The first trailer for "Paranormal Activity 4" has hit, and it looks as though the latest installment will be leaning heavily on tech in order to propagate the seriously creepy stuff that keeps happening to these poor homeowners. The series has even graduated to the hip, updated, Internet-age title of "PA4."

Our heroine this time is Alex, a teenager living in a seemingly pretty secure house with her family. Alex also likes to Skype, which will help explain why there's a camera on all the time (an increasingly difficult feat with these found footage movies... though perhaps also an increasingly unnecessary one). The home security system will also provide some chills: motion lights go on and off, and a calm recorded voice notifies the family when all of the house's doors fly open at the same time.

The number of possessed people and/or spirits haunting our heroes is increasing, as Alex's main issue seems to be one of the neighbors... but of course, Katie and her kidnapped kid companion will be doing their thing as well. Ah, possessed children. They're so cute at that age.
