Watch The New 'Man of Steel' Trailer

The trailer is out for next summer’s Superman remake, “Man of Steel,” starring Henry Cavill.

It features a sympathetic mama Diane Lane and a firm, but perhaps misguided Kevin Costner, who tells his adopted son, “You have to keep this side of yourself a secret.”

Young Clark Kent, it would seem, has let his identity slip when rescuing a bus-load of children from a certain watery death.

“What was I supposed to do? Just let them die?” he retorts.

Due out June 14th, it certainly looks promising—If you like moody action heroes brooding while ethereal, evocative music plays.

Even if you don’t, and you just want to see Henry Cavill in a tight outfit, you’re covered.

“You just have to decide what kind of man you want to grow up to be, Clark. Whoever that man is… he’s gonna change the world,” warns a male voice, probably Costner.

Cue action shots, and lingering looks from leading lady, Amy Adams.

“My father believed that if the world found out who I really was, that they’d reject me,” Superman drawls in voice over. He was convinced that the world wasn’t ready. What do you think?”

I think that with a team consisting of Cavill, Adams, Costner, and Lane alone we’re promised a good flick, but throw in Michael Shannon as General Zod, add some Laurence Fishburne, Russel Crowe, and Christopher Meloni, and we’re good to go.

Bonus, it’s directed by Zack Snyder of “300”, and written by “The Dark Knight’s” David S. Goyer and Christopher Nolan.

What do you think? Will you be seeing “Man of Steel” next summer?
