Watch Maksim Chmerkovskiy Lay Into 'DWTS' Judges Live

Watch Maksim Chmerkovskiy Lay Into 'DWTS' Judges Live For those who missed Monday night's "Dancing with the Stars" performance show, pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy had some choice words for notoriously crabby judge Len Goodman - and to be perfectly honest, I'm not with him on every point, but he's got something in principle that producers should perhaps consider addressing.

Maks has gotten a bit crappy this last few weeks. For one thing, the judges have repeatedly landed with both feet upon himself and World Cup goalie Hope Solo, for everything from Solo's allegedly lacking feminine sex appeal on the floor, to claiming that the two have dogged it during rehearsals.

As a result, the pair has scraped the bottom of the Leader Board several times this season.

After a rumba to "Seasons Of Love" from the Broadway smash "RENT," which drew praise for Solo's improved grace but continued complaints about her technique, Maks had finally had it and went off on Goodman mid critique, claiming that both the pros and celebrities that compete have been repeatedly cheated the judges rip into the pairs' routines on basises of technique whilst audiences frequently grade - and vote - based on likability and effort put forth.

He makes a good point, but he makes it completely unintentionally.

The stardards are unclear, and I've said that all season in my recaps. In a dance competition, Chaz Bono and Lacey Schwimmer have gotten repeated passes because of Bono's sob story regarding the right-wing outcry against that transgender male son of Cher and the late Sen. Sonny Bono being allowed to even appear on the show.

Yes, you could argue that he's cuddly and likable (he is), but former Bravo fashion guru Carson Kressley has charisma to spare himself and it didn't save him from getting the harshest critiques week after week while the judges handled Bono with kid gloves, doling out critiques that focus on praising his "courage" and "heart" while conveniently rarely saying anything about how lackluster and sometimes out-and-out crappy his dancing is.

So ultimately, Maks was absolutely right! Nothing is consistent. And even Solo has been on the bad side of some pretty unfair remarks. But on a show called "Dancing with the Stars," don't act so damn shocked that the criticisms come back to technique.

Instead, focus maybe a little more on the fact that it hasn't always been a sure thing this season that the best dancers move on.
