Watch the Magical First Trailer for Disney's Live-Action 'Cinderella'

Disney continues its live-action princess bonanza!

With the success of "Maleficent," which brought us a new angle on the classic Disney "Sleeping Beauty" tale, the company has a follow-up that brings us a live-action "Cinderella" story.

Unlike "Maleficent," this one seems to follow the classic fairy tale to the letter, rather than following the traditional villain and tweaking the story. Like "Maleficent," though, the visuals look absolutely stunning.

The movie stars Lily James as the titular scullery-maid-turned-princess, and it looks like we meet our Ella early on, before she's even taken into the family of her wicked stepmother. She has some run-ins with her future prince (played here by Richard Madden, whom you might recognize as Robb Stark from "Game of Thrones"), meets her fairy godmother, and the rest is history.

The special effects are truly beautiful here, with everything from Cinderella's carriage to her long blue ballgown to her signature glass slippers sparkling on the screen.

Perhaps even more eye-catching, though, is Helena Bonham Carter as the Fairy Godmother, playing the role as only Helena Bonham Carter can.

While it doesn't seem like this movie will add much to make the story surprising (unless they're saving a lot of twists for the third act), it might be pretty enough to watch on the visual merits alone.
