Watch Kristen Wiig and Bill Hader Embarrass a News Reporter Who Didn't See Their Movie
by Andy NeuenschwanderHere's a pro tip: If you're going to interview the stars of a new movie, go see the movie first.
Chris Parente for Channel 2 in Denver learned that lesson the hard way. Parente was set to interview former "Saturday Night Live" stars Kristen Wiig and Bill Hader about their new indie drama "The Skeleton Twins," but he quickly ran into trouble when it became clear that he hadn't seen the movie.
Parente started off well enough, telling the duo that the movie was "great" and asking them about the mix of drama and comedy in it. But then Parente asked Wiig about going nude, and the whole interview went right off the rails.
"Oh, you're nude in another movie, you're not nude in this one?" Parente said after Wiig cleared things up for him. You see, Wiig goes full-frontal in her upcoming film "Welcome to Me," which Parente confused with "The Skeleton Twins."
From there, Wiig and Hader riffed on the many things that Parente could be confused about with their movie. "No, I'M nude in this one," Hader says.
To his credit, Parente owned up to it right away and played it off pretty well. "You're a bridesmaid in this movie, right?" he jokingly asked Wiig.
If anything, the hilarious video has worked as some free publicity to the indie flick, which has received excellent reviews (we loved it as well and highly recommend it) but isn't a very high-profile release.
