Watch Jimmy Fallon and Gwyneth Paltrow Sing Broadway Rap Songs
by Andy Neuenschwander
Ever wished that Nicki Minaj's rap songs were a little more melodic? Jimmy Fallon and Gwyneth Paltrow are here to prove that you shouldn't.
Paltrow was a guest on "The Tonight Show," and Fallon decided to put the actress' musical ability to work. After wall, we're talking about the star of "Country Strong" and a recurring guest star on "Glee."
With Fallon on the piano, the two performed Broadway-style versions of popular rap songs. Ever wondered what it would be like if a couple of lounge singers sang the words to Nicki Minaj's "Anaconda," complete with mid-song banter? Now you don't have to wonder anymore.
Paltrow returns to movie theaters next weekend in the spy comedy "Mortdecai," where she stars opposite Johhny Depp's inept art dealer turned investigator. The movie releases January 23, and thus far there haven't been any reviews indicating whether or not the comedy lands.
In any case, we're pretty happy with this performance.
