Watch The International Trailer For 'The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo'

With right around three months until it hits theaters everywhere, even the international hype is building for David Fincher's adaptation of "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo." That includes a brand-spankin'-new trailer.

We've already shown a gritty bootleg trailer, an official HD trailer, a long-form version, and even a Muppet parody. What can we say? This film apparently begs to be synopsized.

Based on the first of Stieg Larsson's best-selling anthology of novels, Fincher's film tells the story of disgraced publisher Mikael Blomkvist (Daniel Craig) and his investigation into the disappearance of a former CEO's niece in exchange for evidence that could save Blomkvist from a three-year prison sentence following a libel court case.

Rooney Mara plays Lisbeth Salander, the private investigator that Christopher Plummer's ex-CEO Henrik Vanger hires to vet out Blomkvist. Vanger personally believes that a member of his own family murdered his niece, Harriet.

The film also co-stars Stellan Skarsgard, Robin Wright, Joely Richardson and Yorick van Wageningen. It debuts in theaters everywhere Dec. 21.
