Watch Haley Reinhart Rap at Lollapalooza
by Andy NeuenschwanderIn her run on "American Idol" season 10, Haley Reinhart proved her singing abilities strongly week in and week out, ending up with a third place finish and quick offers for record deals. But can she rap?
The answer: yeah, kinda!
Reinhart made history over the weekend by being the first "American Idol" contestant to perform at Lollapalooza. Performing on one of the smaller stages at the event, Reinhart performed her new single "Oh My" to a crowd of cheering fans. The problem, though, is that "Oh My" features an appearance from rapper B.o.B., who was not present to perform with Reinhart.
What's a singer to do when her rap accompaniment isn't there? Why, just do the rap herself, of course! Reinhart didn't miss a beat in launching into the rap verse of her song, earning an especially enthusiastic cheer from the crowd when she finished.
"I was just like, 'Oh, I think I got it.' I did it a couple of times," Reinhart said. "I listened to it enough that I knew it, and my adrenaline was skyrocketing. So it came kind of naturally."
