Updated: Here's an Extended 'Flash' Trailer from the CW There’s a new superhero in town, but if you’re not paying attention, you might miss him. The CW debuted a new trailer for its upcoming comic-book series, “The Flash,” during the season finale of its other comic-book series, “Arrow,” and it flies by in just over a minute. Still, it’s an effective tease for the heavily promoted—and presumably highly anticipated—new series.

The teaser doesn’t have much to offer in the way of information about the series. In it, Green Arrow slowly and deliberately prepares to fire and arrow at a target as a dust cloud approaches in the distance. When he finally lets the arrow fly, a crackling fireball whizzes by, and the Flash beats the arrow to the target, grabbing the projectile before it can find its mark.

“Show off,” Green Arrow mutters.

After a teaser title appears, Green Arrow tees up three arrows at once, to which the Flash responds, “Game on.”

“The Flash” concerns the adventures of Barry Allen, a super-speedy young man who got his powers after being struck by lightning. His origin story was told in an earlier episode of “Arrow,” and the new series will debut on the CW’s fall schedule alongside “Arrow” and another DC-Comics-related title, “iZombie.”

UPDATE: The network has released a five-minute-long extended trailer for "The Flash." Watch it below.
