Watch the First 'American Horror Story: Freakshow' Promo
by Andy NeuenschwanderUPDATE: This is actually a fake! The promo is just a very convincing, fan-made video and has been removed due to a copyright claim from Fox. Shame, because it was a pretty impressive piece that was right in line with what "AHS" usually does. Expect the official promos to come soon, as casting breakdowns recently appeared on casting websites for contortionists, little people, and other "freakshow" type characters.
Another season of "American Horror Story," another set of creepy promos!
The first teaser trailer for the new season of the hit FX horror anthology has hit the Web, and it falls right in line with a long tradition of unsettling promos for the series.
Ever since the first season, "American Horror Story" has provided a series of 20-second promos featuring spooky imagery paired with oddly unnerving music that tend to hint at themes of the upcoming season.
In this one, we see an angel on a stage who unfurls her wings and stands up. But behind her is a menacing-looking clown, who is controlling her actions like a puppeteer.
We couldn't begin to guess what that all means in terms of the upcoming season, but creator Ryan Murphy has told us that there will be a psycho killer clown in "American Horror Story: Freakshow" so this only helps to confirm that.
The newest season of the show (which provides a new setting and characters each season) will take place in some sort of circus, and will feature Sarah Paulson playing a two-headed conjoined twin. We don't know much else in terms of details, but you can bet that Murphy will use the setting to its full, creepy potential.
