Watch Emma Watson in the First 'Perks of Being a Wallflower' Trailer

Emma Watson may be out of Hogwarts, but she can't seem to get out of high school. That's not a bad thing, though, as her latest role lands her in "The Perks of Being a Wallflower."

The first trailer has been released for the big-screen adaptation of the much-loved novel, and it's about what you would expect: teen angst, philosophical pondering, lots of heart and maybe a fight or two in the school cafeteria. Plus, Watson does an American accent, and it sounds pretty good so far.

The trailer premiered Sunday night during the MTV Movie Awards, which is the destination of choice for teen-demographic movies aiming to get some early buzz. Watson was present at the awards show, where she was a presenter and also accepted the award for Best Cast on behalf of herself and her co-stars in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2."

"Wallflower" doesn't seem to have a specific release date yet, as the trailer just gives a vague "coming soon." But, you can expect it to hit later this year. You will also be able to see Watson in the near future in "The Bling Ring," currently in post-production.

"Wallflower" also stars Logan Lerman, Ezra Miller, Paul Rudd and "The Vampire Diaries" star Nina Dobrev, to name a few.
