Watch Darren Criss Duet with Kermit the Frog on the Red Carpet

If you're a fan of The Muppets, you may have been sad to hear that the Oscar-nominated song from "The Muppets" won't be performed during the ceremony. But don't worry: Darren Criss has you covered.

Both E! and Criss had teased a duet between Criss and none other than Kermit the Frog, with Criss posting a picture of himself and the Muppet star during their rehearsal.

The "Glee" star took his guitar to the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood to sing his duet with Kermit, in anticipation of the E! red carpet coverage today. The two singing stars greeted each other and exchanged mutual respect for each others' work, with Kermit saying that he sees a lot of similarities between "Glee" and "The Muppet Show."

With that, Criss and Kermit launched into a cover of "The Rainbow Connection," a classic of Kermit's. It's still not a performance of "Man or Muppet," which is the song up for the Oscar, but hey, it's Darren Criss singing with a Muppet. Who's complaining?
