Watch Channing Tatum Get His Butt Kicked in the First 5 Minutes of 'Haywire'

Let's say you're one of the poor souls who got stuck in a theater watching "Dear John," and at the time you thought to yourself "I hate this and I wish somebody would put Channing Tatum in a headlock." Well, your dream just came true.

In anticipation of the release of Steven Soderbergh's new action thriller "Haywire," which opens on Jan. 20th, the first five minutes of the movie have been released online through Hulu. Think of it as a five-minute extended trailer. Or a sneak peek of what you'll see if you go to the theater to see "Haywire." Or an excuse to watch Channing Tatum get his ass kicked.

The movie follows a black ops agent, played by MMA fighter Gina Carano, who must evade the people who betrayed her on her last mission. It's an interesting project, considering the people involved: it sounds like just another mindless action flick (and the opening scene seems to support that), but the movie was directed by the normally cerebral Soderbergh (who directed "Ocean's Eleven" and "Contagion" to name a couple) and features a pretty impressive cast, including Michael Fassbender, Ewan McGregor and Michael Douglas.

Check out the extended trailer, and let us know what you think. Will you be seeing "Haywire" when it hits theaters on the 20th? Or are you satisfied to see Tatum get his teeth kicked in just once?
