If you’re on the “Liz and Dick” train, then help yourself to the behind-the-scenes video of the upcoming biopic.

“Liz & Dick is about the tumultuous life-long love affair of Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor,” says Grant Bowler, who plays Burton.

And, as if you didn’t know, Lindsay Lohan will be playing the part of Taylor. So how does she do in the clips?

Surprisingly, better than I expected. The trailer didn’t allow her much… speaking… so it’s fun to catch a few more glimpses of her actually playing the part. And you know what? Not a total disaster.

Or, maybe it’s just a matter of well-cut scenes. I continue to hang on to my pessimism.

“The film arcs over their entire lives, and how they had to go through life living in the public eye, and how that can tear people apart,” Lohan says of the flick. “I’m a huge Elizabeth Taylor fan, and I relate to her in a lot of levels. Living in the public eye, dealing with the stress of what other people say, whether it’s true or not.”

“It was the start of the exploitation of celebrities,” says Bowler, about the media’s eye on Burton and Taylor.

 “I personally understand Liz, because you’re living your life for everyone to see, and people are growing with you. You get to a point where you become numb to it, and you just live your life the way that you feel you need to live it,” Lohan says. Oh, and they both loved diamonds—twinsies!

“Lindsay’s excellent to work with. She’s pretty much Elizabeth Taylor… reincarnated,” Bowler gushes. A cast mate giving Lohan rave reviews? Well that’s a new one.

 “No matter what happened, they always came back to each other,” Lohan says of the epic romance.

“Liz and Dick” will hit Lifetime in November.
