by Andy Neuenschwander
The 2015 Academy Awards nominees have been announced, and we've talked all about who deserves a trophy and who got snubbed. But what if you haven't seen some of the movies yet?
Luckily, a number of nominees have completed their runs in theaters and are available to watch online. Here's where you can catch all of them.

"Begin Again" - Amazon, Vudu, YouTube, iTunes
This musical from the creators of "Once" was nominated, naturally, for Best Song. "Lost Stars" was performed by Adam Levine in this film about a musician (Keira Knightley) who teams up with a washed-up record producer (Mark Ruffalo) after she breaks up with her rock star boyfriend (Levine).
"The Boxtrolls" - Amazon, Vudu, YouTube, iTunes
Another stop-motion feature from the studio that made "Coraline" and "Paranorman," this one was nominated for Best Animated Feature (though we maintain "The Lego Movie" should've taken its place).
"Boyhood" - Amazon, Vudu, YouTube, iTunes
Shot over a period of 12 years using the same actors, Richard Linklater's "Boyhood" is the current favorite to win Best Picture. It was also nominated for Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, Best Film Editing, and both Ethan Hawke and Patricia Arquette earned acting nominations.
"Captain America: The Winter Soldier" - Amazon, Vudu, YouTube, iTunes
Considered by critics to be Marvel's best movie yet, this Captain America sequel earned a nod for Best Visual Effects. Considering how cozy Marvel and Netflix are these days, we're willing to bet that this one will be available on Netflix soon enough.
"Crisis Hotline: Veterans Press 1" - Amazon, iTunes, HBO
Nominated for Best Documentary Short, this film centers on the people who work the crisis hotline for military veterans and the former soldiers who call in.
"Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" - Amazon, Vudu, iTunes
This second movie in the new reboot of the classic sci-fi franchise marks the start of a major conflict between the surviving humans of a worldwide simian flu epidemic and the intelligent apes who are attempting to build their own society. Nominated for Best Visual Effects, but if there was ever a strong case for motion-capture and voice actors getting nominations or their own category, Andy Serkis' performance in this movie is it.
"Finding Vivian Maier" - Showtime, Amazon, YouTube, iTunes
Nominated for Best Documentary Feature, this film explores the life of Vivian Maier, a nanny who led a secret life as one of the country's most prolific street photographers.
"Gone Girl" - Amazon, Vudu, YouTube, iTunes
Though it should have at least been nominated in the adapted screenplay category, "Gone Girl" ended up with a sole nomination for Rosamund Pike in the Best Actress category.
"The Grand Budapest Hotel" HBO, Amazon, Vudu, YouTube, iTunes
Wes Anderson's latest film earned 9 nominations, including ones for Best Picture, Best Director and Best Original Screenplay, which total more nominations than all of Anderson's other movies combined.
"Guardians of the Galaxy" - Amazon, Vudu, YouTube, iTunes
It's a rare occasion when one of the year's biggest box-office hits is loved by both critics and fans alike and actually manages to earn an Oscar nod. This instant Marvel classic was nominated for Best Makeup and Hairstyling as well as Best Visual Effects.
"How to Train Your Dragon 2" - Amazon, Vudu, YouTube, iTunes
Honestly, we might as well just give this movie the Best Animated Feature award now.
"The LEGO Movie" - HBO Go, Amazon, Vudu, YouTube, iTunes
We're still too upset to talk about how this movie wasn't nominated for Best Animated Feature, but at least it got a Best Original Song nod for "Everything Is Awesome."
"The Judge" - Amazon, Vudu, YouTube, iTunes
Robert Duvall earned a Best Supporting Actor nomination for his role as a morally strict judge who is accused of murdering an ex-con.
"Last Days in Vietnam" - iTunes
This documentary, nominated for Best Documentary Feature, focuses on the final days of the Vietnam War and the evacuation of Saigon.
"Maleficent" - Amazon, Vudu, YouTube, iTunes
Starring Angelina Jolie as a more relatable version of the classic Sleeping Beauty villain, "Maleficent" earned a Best Costume Design nomination.
"Virunga" - Netflix
It's a classic tale of conservationists versus oil profiteers, only this movie is a documentary and not fiction. This true story of a clash at Virunga National Park earned a nomination for Best Documentary Feature.
"X-Men: Days of Future Past" - Amazon, Vudu, YouTube, iTunes
One of the best-reviewed movies of the X-Men movie franchise, this installment has Wolverine traveling back in time in order to stop events that cause a dystopian future. Nominated for Best Visual Effects.
