Wasting No Time At All....The 'Anchorman 2' Trailer [Video]
by Sean ComerGreat Odin's raven....on the day they got the green light to start "Anchorman 2" production, Judd Apatow, Will Ferrell and Friends apparently woke up in a "not f**king around" mood. There's not a frame shot yet, but we already have a trailer!
To the surprise of absolutely nobody - c'mon, this project probably wouldn't have happened if things had turned out differently - the whole KVWN team is back like a vertebrae. Paul Rudd is once more 'stached out lady-thriller Brian Fantana. David Koechner will double the "WHAAAAMMY!" again as sportscaster Champ Kind. Steve Carell's weatherman Brick Tamland is....well, still retarded.
But the man himself is ready "ride the Palomino stallion" once more: Ferrell is still Ron Burgundy.
The simple clip hits theaters this week leading in Sacha Baron Cohen's latest shock comedy, "The Dictator." It's the teaser poster come to life, with Team Burgundy stepping up and warning us all that it's about to get real - in 2013. It's going to get real, once they've shot something starting next year. Then it'll be really. It'll really be happening.
"It's jean-creamin' time," purrs Rudd's Fantana, being far more succinct.
I'd complain about how seriously premature this is, but screw it. It's "Anchorman." As a journalism student in a former life, this movie is to me what "Caddyshack" is to duffers. And no, the possibility hasn't escaped me that this will in fact end up actually being my "Caddyshack 2" or - Great Zeus' beard, even worse - my "Who's Your Caddy?" But for as hit or miss as Ferrell-Apatow teamings can be, this one instills hope. After all, it's not like the end of 2004's "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy" didn't already set this up.
