Want to Hear the 'Book of Mormon' Soundtrack from the Creators of 'South Park?' Now You Can! If you were a fan of the excessively inappropriate but very catchy music of "South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut" and "Team America: World Police" when they hit theaters, then the songs from "The Book of Mormon" will be right up your alley.

The original cast recording of the new musical from the creators of "South Park" is available streaming on NPR's website, and it's a thing of beauty...a thing of foul-mouthed, controversy-creating beauty.

It starts innocently enough, with the peppy "Hello!" that introduces the protagonists as they go door-to-door trying to convert people to Mormonism. But just a few tracks in, Trey Parker and Matt Stone's unique brand of humor rears its shocking head with "Hasa Diga Eebowai," a spoof of "Hakuna Matata" with lyrics that I wouldn't even dare to type.

Yet despite the challenging tone that Parker and Stone take with religion, the show never denounces faith. In fact, it really seems to support it. Organized religion and the lies that sometimes accompany it, however, are confronted head-on in tracks like "Making Things Up Again."

The music, created by "Avenue Q" writer Robert Lopez, is catchy and upbeat at some times, and sincere and heartfelt at others. The styles cover many of the types of songs you hear in contemporary musicals, including the rock number "Man Up" that is unmistakably created by the "South Park" guys.

If you want to hear the tracks, head over to NPR's website where you can hear the album in its entirety.
