'The Walking Dead': Three Preview Clips Reveal Trouble with Shane
by Andy Neuenschwander"The Walking Dead" will return in February, but you might already be jonesing for some zombie fun. If that's the case, here are a few preview clips of the next episode to hold you over.
In the first clip, which was released toward the end of last year after the season finale, Team Hershel faces off with Team Rick as Shane (Jon Bernthal) makes a bit of an ass of himself. Even when Hershel notes that Otis was the one who locked a certain someone in the barn, Shane still doesn't relent. Maggie slapping him a few times helps though.
The second clip follows that up with a little spat between Rick and Shane, in which Shane once again gets on Rick's case for conducting the search for Sophia for so long. Not exactly the most empathetic guy, is he?
That kind of behavior from Shane clearly doesn't go unnoticed by Dale. In the third clip, released more recently, Dale voices his continuing concerns about Shane to Lori. After Dale and Shane's little face-off in the swamp with the guns, Dale has pieced things together: Shane left Otis to die. "It's only a matter of time before he kills someone else," Dale warns.
Is that true? Are we watching Shane lose the remaining pieces of his humanity and become a murderer, a whole other kind of Walking Dead? We'll have to wait until "The Walking Dead" returns on February 12th to find out.
