'Walking Dead' Season 8 Will Move Faster

On the whole, The Walking Dead's seventh season was packed with some of the AMC series' boldest content. Multiple characters were brutally slain in true-to-the-comics fashion as Negan and his Saviors were introduced and bullied their surrounding communities.

However the most recent season of the zombie drama was shrouded with a common criticism despite delivering multiple character deaths and setting up a major war: "the pacing was slow." Week to week, fans would miss out on seeing some of their favorite characters as entire episodes were dedicated to Negan and his Saviors or Tara on an Oceanside adventure rather then explaining what Carol is up to in her isolation or how Rick plans to rally his people.

This won't be the case in Season 8. The criticism appears to have been not only heard but also applied to the coming episodes according to showrunner Scott Gimple.
