'The Walking Dead' Season 3: Guess Which Long-Lost Character Was Spotted on Set?

'The Walking Dead' Season 3: Guess Which Long-Lost Character Was Spotted on Set? Forewarning: this article will contain potential spoilers for "The Walking Dead" season three. And definite spoilers for "The Walking Dead" season one, if you're that far behind.

New photos from the set of "The Walking Dead" are revealing hints about the upcoming season, and it's looking like we're going to be seeing an old friend of ours again soon. Back in season one, Merle was part of the group stranded in Atlanta that Rick came across when he went into the city. The redneck brother of Darryl wasn't the nicest character in the group, which ended up getting him handcuffed to a pipe on a rooftop and left to die.

But when Rick returned for him, he found a bloody hacksaw and no sign of Merle. Since then, though, we haven't seen anything of the one-armed racist, except when he appeared to Darryl as a sort of vision halfway through season two.

This photo from the set, though, reveals that Merle is back in the picture. Michael Rooker doesn't appear to be in his makeup yet, as he still has two arms, so we have yet to see how the show is going to handle that special effect.

Other photos from the set show some glimpses of Michonne and Andrea from a distance, and a bit of set contruction, likely for the prison. Check out the pics below:
