'Walking Dead' Midseason Finale Kills Off Another Series Regular
by Andy NeuenschwanderEveryone involved with "The Walking Dead" promised that this season was going to be bloody.
So far, they've all been true to their word.
Another major character bit the literal and figurative bullet on Sunday night's midseason finale, the show's final episode before returning in February of 2015.
If you haven't watched yet, don't read on...SPOILERS follow!
The episode saw Rick and company trying to devise a proper plan to free Beth and Carol from Grady Memorial Hospital, where they were being held by a group of seriously corrupt cops.
Rick managed to hunt down the escaped Bob and, rather than show him mercy, ended his life with a familiar line: "You can't go back, Bob." Another step for Rick away from his humanity, a theme we've seen more and more of this season.
The team's plan was to bring the remaining two hostages in and exchange them for Carol and Beth. Everything was fine, albeit tense, until everyone turned to leave and Dawn asked for Noah.
Noah stepped forward to return to Dawn, and hugged Beth goodbye. But when Dawn quipped, "I knew you'd be back," Beth snaps and stabs Dawn with a pair of scissors she smuggled along.
That set off a major firefight, which included Beth getting a bullet in the head. Maggie saw it all happen, and reacted with more emotion than we've seen from her concerning her father or her sister thus far this season...could this be the event that finally snaps Maggie out of her emotional coma?
Season five of "The Walking Dead" returns on February 8.
