'The Walking Dead': The Barn Fallout, and What's Coming Up (SPOILERS)

'The Walking Dead': The Barn Fallout, and What's Coming Up (SPOILERS) Caution: "The Walking Dead" mid-season finale spoilers ahead!

The very end of Sunday's episode of "The Walking Dead" was a shocker that left a lot of questions going forward.

Now that the group knows Sophia is gone, will they want to leave the farm? Did Herschel know that Sophia was in there? Was that why he was so keen on having everyone leave so soon?

Executive producer (and creator of the comics) Robert Kirkman talked a bit about the fallout of the Sophia revelation, and what it will mean for the characters, in an interview with TV Guide:

"Shane (Jon Bernthal) was pretty pissed-off and I don't think he's going to calm down after the initial shock of seeing Sophia. When we pick things up, things will be at a pretty high level of intensity and that's going to be the first question that's asked. Did they know she was in there? And if they did, why were they hiding that information from them? These groups are already very much at odds over the fact that Hershel doesn't want them to stay there, and they feel like being sent back on the road will be a death sentence, so they've already got enough to fight about and this is just one more problem being thrown into the mix."

It looks like Shane is going to continue to be the rageball that he's been so far, then. A preview clip from the next episode, "Nebraska," premiering February 12th, confirms that, as Shane and Rick argue over Herschel's intentions.
