'Walking Dead' Alum Cast as 'The Flash' Villain

Beth won't be coming back to "The Walking Dead," but she might be coming to Central City!
Emily Kinney, who played Beth on the hit AMC zombie show, has reportedly been cast in CW's "The Flash." Kinney will have to put the survival instincts she learned on "The Walking Dead" to use, as she's set to play one of Flash's villainous enemies.
Kinny will play Brie Laravan, a gender-flipped version of Bertram Laravan in the Flash comic books, who also goes by the Bug-Eyed-Bandit. The villain is known for creating and commanding a small army of mechanical insects that help him commit crimes.
Kinney's version of the character might be a little less comic-book-ish, and is said to instead be a hacker who uses her computer know-how to support her life of crime.
Traditionally, the Bug-Eyed Bandit is a villain for The Atom, another superhero in the DC universe. Brandon Routh will be playing Atom on the show, with first images of him in costume having already been released.
Kinney became a fan favorite in her time on "The Walking Dead," lasting three seasons before meeting her end this year. Fans were so distraught over her departure that a petition on Change.org gathered over 60,000 signatures in an effort to bring her back.
Kinny will make her guest appearance, along with Routh, in episode 18 of the current season of "The Flash."
