'Walking Dead' Adds New Actor for Unconfirmed Character...Let the Guessing Begin!
by Andy Neuenschwander
"The Walking Dead" has a new human survivor!
Ross Marquand has reportedly been cast in "The Walking Dead" and will appear sometime in the AMC show's eight remaining episodes of the season, which kick off in February. What we don't know yet is which character from the comics Marquand will play.
Fans are already speculating that Marquand will play Aaron, a man from a nearby safe zone who meets Rick and his gang on the road. Of course, we know how things have gone in previous "safe zones" for Rick & Co., so we have to wonder if they'll trust him at all.
Aaron would also be a significant addition to the cast as he would be the first gay character on the show.
However, all of this is speculation at this point, as AMC has not yet announced whom Marquand will be playing. Thus far the show has stayed relatively close to the source material, however some characters (including Daryl) weren't in the comics at all, so it's entirely possible that Marquand will be playing someone new.
Interestingly, Marquand is best known as a voice actor, skilled with impressions. In the past, he has voiced characters for "Phineas and Ferb" and other animated projects.
The second half of this season of "The Walking Dead" premieres on February 8 on AMC.
