'The Voice' Winner Javier Colon Appearing with Cee Lo Green Thursday at the Universal CityWalk Opening in L.A. If you watched "The Voice" and were wowed by Javier Colon's singing ability and Cee Lo Green's mad genius, here's some good news for you: you might get to see them both this week...for free!

Cee Lo will be playing the grand opening of the brand-new music venue "5 Towers" at the Universal CityWalk in Los Angeles this Thursday, with Javier in attendance. The event kicks off the "Plugged In" concert series taking place this summer, which will include performances from bands like Alien Ant Farm and Carolina Liar, among others.

Colon, who won "The Voice" in a close finish with Dia Frampton, wowed the four "Voice" coaches during the blind auditions, and eventually chose Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine as his mentor. Green, who is famous for his hits "Crazy" (as Gnarls Barkley) and "F*** You," didn't have the opportunity to work with or duet with Colon during the show, so the fact that the two are doing publicity together is an interesting one.

This appearance comes on the heels of news that Colon, who has a new record deal as part of his "The Voice" prize, will be recording music with both Adam Levine and Cee Lo Green. Christina Aguilera and Blake Shelton are so far not part of the picture, but with Dia Frampton and Beverly McClellan likely to get deals too, they should be busy as well.

The venue, meanwhile, should provide the epic environment that a performer like Cee Lo needs. The 5 Towers features a huge video monitor, motion capture sensors (not sure what those are there for, but I'm intrigued), and five 42-foot lighted towers that give the venue its name.

The concert will take play this Thursday, July 7 at 8:00pm at the Universal CityWalk. It's free and standing room only, so if you're in L.A. and want to be there, you'll probably want to line up early. Check out the Universal CityWalk calendar for more music events this summer.
